On March 5, Pop Smoke will be starring in his first major film. This is “Boogie” as it tells the story of a star Asian basketball player named Boogie (Taylor Tekahashi) who is trying to make it to a top college. Pop Smoke plays the role of Boogie, a player at a rival school of Boogie’s. Boogie is also directed by Eddie Huang.

The film’s soundtrack will be available on March 5. In the meantime though, a Pop Smoke song will be available from this project tomorrow. It will be titled “AP.” A snippet has since been posted on social media which only provided the instrumental to it. Fans loved what they heard as they can’t wait to hear how the late Brooklyn rapper sounds on this track at midnight.

Last year, videos were posted on social media of Smoke acting in a scene. Social media was impressed as they wish that Smoke was still here to be part of even more films.

In 2020, he also won big posthumously with his music as his debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was led by hits such as “For The Night” featuring DaBaby and Lil Baby,” “The Woo” feat. 50 Cent and Roddy Ricch, “Something Special” and “What You Know Bout Love.” One of Smoke’s 2019 breakout hit singles, “Dior,” is also nominated for Best Rap Performance at next months’s GRAMMYs.

Check out the snippet of Pop Smoke’s “AP” and the trailer for “Boogie” below.
