Nicki Minaj becomes first female rapper with 26 billion Spotify streams

Nicki Minaj is widely regarded as one of the best female rappers of all-time. Ever since becoming a breakout star back in 2009, it’s only been up, for Nicki.

In 2021, Nicki has been fairly consistent as well, as she’s put out three singles. These include two that featured Lil Baby, which were “Do We Have A Problem?” and “Bussin.” Nicki also put out her “We Go Up” single, featuring fellow New Yorker, Fivio Foreign.

Now, Nicki has just achieved another impressive streaming milestone. According to Chart Data, she has reached 26 billion Spotify streams, across all credits. This makes Nicki the first female rapper to get to this mark.

Fans also hope that Nicki will finally deliver her new album, at some point, in 2022. Her last studio album came way back in August 2018, which was “Queen.” That went on to debut at number two, in the US. Nicki’s last project overall, came in May 2021. She rereleased her classic 2009 “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape, as it was finally available on streaming platforms. Nicki added new tracks to it as well, such as “Fractions” and “Seeing Green,” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne.
