Nicki Minaj denies Benzino’s claim of Coi Leray collaboration happening
Over the weekend, Benzino took to Clubhouse, to claim that his daughter Coi Leray, has a collaboration in the stash, with Nicki Minaj. This has since spread like wildfire, as Nicki has now addressed this, in her Instagram stories.
“I don’t have a collab coming with anyone,” Nicki explained. “Onika mode. Love you.”
Coi also took to Instagram Live, to address her father. She emphasized that Benzino needs to just watch the show, and let Coi do her thing, when it comes to announcements and other music endeavors.
“When people was yappin’ they mouth on the Clubhouse he felt like he had to defend himself but I had to tell my dad, he’s an OG and he was super-super big back in the day and everybody knows my dad’s an OG. He gotta play the back, gracefully. It’s my turn now. It’s my turn, daddy. I’ma need you to sit the f*ck down, grab some popcorn, enjoy the show, and clap for me when it’s time to clap for me. Alright, daddy?”
Benzino also took to his Twitter feed, to apologize to Coi and Nicki, for making this announcement.
“I just wanna apologize to Coi, Nicki everyone involved, I meant no harm nor did I mean to offend or disrespect anyone. I know better, it’s a business of trust and I broke that. I feel horrible and sad. I am 100 percent in the wrong and it will never happen again. Smh.”
Over the last several weeks though, Nicki has released two new collaborations. These are her “Do We Have A Problem?” and “Bussin” singles, both which feature Lil Baby. Coi Leray also put out her “Anxiety” single last month, as she is preparing her debut studio album.
