Nicki Minaj detained for drug possession before leaving Amsterdam

Nicki Minaj is now currently on the European leg of her historic Pink Friday 2 World Tour. On Saturday, she is scheduled to hit the stage in Manchester, England. This comes as she announced the second leg of her US dates, on Friday.

However, Nicki Minaj ran into a very random legals situation, upon leaving in Amsterdam. She took to Instagram Live to show herself being detained by police there, due to her allegedly carrying drugs. This is a very odd scenario, due to Netherlands’ loose drug laws.

Furthermore,  Nicki Minaj continued to tell police officers in Amsterdam that she needs a lawyer present. That came as they said they want to take her to the precinct, and get her to her concert in Manchester as soon as possible. The officers initially found pre-rolled joints in luggages, as Nicki claimed that those weren’t hers. Moreover, she added that luggages were taken from her without consent.

Hopefully, this situation is resolved quickly, and Nicki Minaj is able to get to her show in Amsterdam. It’s unfortunate that she was placed in custody in a city where marijuana is a major part of their economy.
