Their collaboration was a classic and it looked like Megan and Nicki would be good friends. After Megan Thee Stallion joined Cardi B on “Wap,” she and Nicki began exchanging subliminal disses. Now, the ladies are clearly rivals. At Rolling Loud, Nicki performed during Lil Wayne’s set. She wasted no time performing a song with lines aimed at Megan.
Nicki Minaj dominated female rap for almost a decade, with no competition. She emerged at a time when there were no female rappers making hits. When Nicki arrived on the scene, Trina was the most recent female rapper to have success. Nicki emerged two years after “Single Again.” Immediately, she re-energized the game, making hits with Usher and Ludacris. After that, Nicki took the game and made it her own.
