Nicki Minaj earns third number one album with “Pink Friday 2”

Over a week ago, Nicki Minaj released her highly anticipated fifth studio album, ”Pink Friday 2.” Moreover, this was also Nicki’s first project since her “Queen” album, which arrived back in August 2018.

As a result, Pink Friday 2 delivered 22 songs, which were led by singles such as “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” “Last Time I Saw You,” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Super Freaky Girl.” Furthermore, Nicki also collaborated with Lil Wayne, Future, J. Cole, and more on this album. Nicki initially decided on a November 17 release date earlier in the year, but ultimately decided to put it out on her birthday. (December 8)

Meanwhile, Nicki has now earned her third straight number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This comes after 228,000 units were sold, including an impressive 92,000 in pure sales, per Chart Data. 169.87 million on-demand streams were also accumulated. On Friday, the “Gag City” deluxe of the album was also released, which contained two songs, and collaborations with 50 Cent, Keyshia Cole and Monica.

In addition to the Pink Friday 2 album, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour is also coming in 2024. This will kick off on March 1, in Oakland. 37 dates will be available, as the tour will go on to conclude on June 7, in Berlin, Germany. Tickets for all dates are currently on sale.
