Nicki Minaj finally responds to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” and says Jay-Z is the king of New York

What’s interesting is how Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar do not know each other, which she revealed in her interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45. This summer, Kendrick Lamar had the whole rap game talking when he called himself king of New York on “Control.” A lot of people responded and some wondered if Nicki Minaj would.

Mostly, there was a lot of focus on what Fabolous would do, but in the end, it became clear how things would shape up. Nicki Minaj has kept her music presence relatively low, as she has only done a few collaborations. However, Nicki Minaj was in Brooklyn for the Power 105.1 edition of Powerhouse 2013.

Nicki Minaj ended up speaking with “The Breakfast Club” trio of Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, and DJ Envy. The interview is not out yet, but Nicki Minaj ended up touching on her third album. After doing the interview, Nicki Minaj tweeted her response to Kendrick Lamar, saying Jay-Z holds the throne.
