One thing about the current generation of hip hop stars is that they have nothing but respect and admiration for Jay-Z. A lot of what they are doing, from a business standpoint, wouldn’t be possible without him. Plus, even if they are not a part of his company, Roc Nation, they have had dealings with it.
During this time last year, most Jay-Z fans had given up on ever hearing another full solo album from him. Due to his multitude of businesses, it became more logical to see Jay-Z doing an occasional guest verse. But, his guest verse on Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” led to a new era of Jay-Z music.
Last night, Jay-Z performed in Los Angeles to a sold out crowd and there were several celebrities enjoying the show. Nicki Minaj was present and she was posting to Instagram like everyone else. While in Los Angeles, Nicki Minaj linked up with OG it-girl, Paris Hilton, and snapped a quick photo.
