Nicki Minaj Isn’t Listed as Feature on Doja Cat’s “Say So” Remix on Updated No. 2 Spot on Billboard Hot 100 Due To More Success on Original Song; Minaj is Still Getting Her Credit For It and Having No. 1 Song By Billboard

Earlier this month, Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix featuring Nicki Minaj reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix with Beyoncé reached No 2. The roles are reversed now but all four artists still have the achievement of four black women occupying these spots for the first time in history.

Doja’s Say So remix is now listed at No. 2 without Nicki. Billboard is now explaining this and stated that it’s due to the original version having more success. Nicki is still getting her credit as having her first No. 1 song though.

“After two weeks of Minaj showing as a featured artist on ‘Say So’ on the Hot 100 and other charts that utilize the same methodology, only Doja Cat is now listed, as the original version, without Minaj, is now driving the majority of overall activity for the song; the change does not affect any of Minaj’s achievements on those charts the past two weeks, and she continues not to be credited on the song on any airplay charts, as the vast majority of the song’s airplay is still for the original version.”

This does mean that Nicki still has her first No. 1 song ever. No need to worry here. It is a bit unusual though that she still wouldn’t be listed but it looks like the original version did do better. Doja has since been getting backlash on social media since the weekend for supposedly being in racist chatrooms and how everyone saw that stripped for people who were supposedly racist as well. She denied anyone being racist nor making fun of police brutality victims on her 2015 “Dindu Nuffin” song.
