Hip hop went through a whirlwind year in 2013 and Nicki Minaj was at the center of much of the whirlwind. Early in the fall, Nicki Minaj’s past resurfaced and she ended up addressing her days with Brick Squad. Unfortunately, earlier this week, someone from this camp died in Kayo Redd.
During the initial reports, it was said Kayo Redd’s death was either a murder or a suicide. Following conflicting reports, law enforcement began their investigation surrounding his death. Suspecting no foul play, police are thinking Kayo Redd committed suicide.
Regardless of how Kayo Redd died, his death was sad and it was untimely. Death is always a tough topic, because the people close to the deceased suffer. Nicki Minaj used to work closely with Kayo Redd during the Brick Squad days and it hit her hard when she learned he died and she posted a tribute to him on her Instagram.
