Nicki Minaj reaches 2x platinum eligibility for “Super Freaky Girl”

In 2022, Nicki Minaj was extremely consistent with her releases. This included putting out singles such as “Do We Have A Problem?” featuring Lil Baby, “Bussin” featuring Lil Baby, and “Super Freaky Girl.”

Super Freaky Girl went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That was also Nicki’s first number one solo single. The remix for it was also released, which featured JT, BIA, Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V, and Maliibu Miitch.

Nicki has now reached another impressive milestone with this single. According to Chart Data, Super Freaky Girl is now eligibility for 2x platinum status in the US. This comes after selling over 2 million units. This record also samples Rick James’ iconic 1981 “Super Freak” single.

With all of the music that Nicki released in 2022, fans now hope that she will finally be putting out a new album soon. Her previous one came way back in August 2018, which was her fourth studio album, “Queen.” That project debuted at number two in the US, and is platinum in the US.
