Nicki Minaj speaks on Young Money album

Today marks the release of the Young Money album. One of the label’s rising stars is Nicki Minaj. The plan was for Lil Wayne to first release his album and then the rest of the label was supposed to do their thing. However, towards the end of last year, Wayne decided to create the experimental album, Rebirth.

After the Rebirth album was supposed to come the Young Money album, then Tha Carter IV. The next year, 2010, would see releases from the most popular Young Money acts. Things did not go quite as planned. In 2009, Rebirth saw so many delays that it was held off until 2010. This year, Drake has risen to become the star of the label and the Young Money album was released as a Lil Wayne album.

Next year, Drake will release his debut album in June, followed by the debut album from Nicki Minaj. While her album does not come out until at least six months from now, she is still very happy about her position. Minaj is set to take over a weak female rap game. Her aim is to prove that female rappers are more than sex objects.

Due to the fact that the Young Money album has just been released, Nicki Minaj has been promoting it left and right. Chances are, if this album sells well and the people realize her talent through this album, they may purchase hers when it comes out. The Young Money album was released earlier today.

During the summer of 2010, Nicki Minaj will release her debut album on Young Money and Universal Records.
