Early in 2012, Nicki Minaj released Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which has been a major commercial success for her. While the album has done well, commercially, it has gotten a bad wrap from the hip hop community. This comes in spite of her album featuring songs with the likes of Rick Ross and Cam’ron, along with many other rap artists.
Last night, none of this mattered, as Nicki Minaj attended the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, in Los Angeles, a place she is always well-received. At the award show, Nicki Minaj would win ‘Best Female Video’ for her single, “Starships.” Ironically, it was this single which led to Lil Wayne pulling Young Money out of Hot 97’s Summer Jam in New York City.
Before Nicki Minaj won her award, she was on the red carpet, speaking with the media. Among the media outlets she spoke with was E!. Talking with E!, Nicki Minaj revealed she would soon prepare to re-release her popular Roman Reloaded album. What she did not mention, however, was a release date for this re-released project.
