Nicki Minaj ties Aretha Franklin’s record for most Hot 100 hits for a female artist

While Nicki Minaj is still catching a lot of flack for the Remy Ma drama, she is rebounding. Apparently, Nicki Minaj isn’t going to respond to the scathing “ShETHER” diss track. Thus far, it hasn’t had too much of a negative impact on Nicki.

The Queens femcee has been working for over a decade, truly gaining traction in the 2008 period. In the years since then, Nicki Minaj made herself into a household name. Her mainstream celebrity status has allowed her some leeway, with her bigger audience.

Nicki Minaj caught Remy Ma’s bad side with her “Make Love” verse, the single she shares with Gucci Mane. So, this record launched “ShETHER,” giving Remy Ma mainstream fame, and brought Nicki Minaj closer to history. With “Make Love” hitting the Hot 100, Nicki Minaj tied Aretha Franklin for the most Hot 100 hits for a female.
