Nicki Minaj to release Debut Single in Coming Weeks

Young Money rapper, Nicki Minaj is preparing to release her debut album early next year. But, in the meantime, she is looking to build her brand in a similar manner to that of her label-mate, Drake. Her album is slated for a January 2010 release, so she needs to release a single in 2009 to build steam.

Wasting no more time, Nicki is ready to get at it and get her new music out there. She recently came out to deny that “I Get Crazy” is her single. Instead, she said that is just a song from her mixtape, Beam Me Up, Scotty. While she did not confirm anything, Nicki said that her first single could be “Married in the Club.”

When talking about her debut album, Nicki Minaj said not to expect the typical rap album. Realizing that the times are changing, she has decided to offer a more universal style. She said that she has been hard at work on her album for some time and she is ready to finally release it.

No title has been announced for Nicki Minaj’s debut album, nor has the release date been set, but the album is due for release in January 2010. A title for the album should also be announced before the January release date.
