Nicki Minaj’s 2009 “Beam Me Up Scotty” Mixtape To Debut at Number 2 on Billboard 200 Chart

Last week, Nicki Minaj took over social media by finally returning with new music for the first time since February 2020. This was by rereleasing her classic 2009 “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape, which was her debut project to the world. This rerelease contained new tracks such as “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne and “Fractions.”

Beam Me Up Scotty was expected to have a big first week on the charts and that is the case now. According to Chart Data, it will debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart with 71,000 units. J. Cole’s “The Off-Season” is expected to debut at the top spot with over 300,000 units.

Beam Me Up Scotty overall gave fans plenty of nostalgia. This project included classic Nicki tracks such as “Itty Bitty Piggy,” “Slumber Party” feat. Gucci Mane, and “Best I Ever Had” remix with Drake. The original version of this mixtape was also hosted by DJ Holiday.

Fractions and Seeing Green also marked Nicki’s first single since 2020’s “Yikes.” Fans also hope that she will finally release a new album this year as well, as her previous one was “Queen” in 2018.
