Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Arrested and Indicted For Not Registering as Sex Offender in California; Faces 10 Years in Prison

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has had his share of legal issues in the past such as a rape charge involving a minor along with a murder case he was convicted in. Now, he has been arrested and indicted by U.S Marshals for failing to register as a sex offender, according to TMZ.

Court documents state that Petty will be in front of a judge later today. Back in November 2019, he had a traffic stop in Beverly Hills as it was revealed that he’s a sex offender in New York but hadn’t registered himself as one in California. He posted $20,000 bond at the time.

The rape case dates back to 1995 when Petty plead guilty to this charge in the first-degree. He served four years in prison. If he is convicted of this new charge of failing to register as a sex offender in California, he faces 10. He and Nicki Minaj ended up getting married in July of 2019.

Petty also made headlines in January when he and Meek Mill almost fought at a story in Beverly Hills. Nicki was also present as she took to Twitter later that month to say how Meek was scared. Meek then clapped back by mentioning how Nicki’s brother was just convicted for rape along with Petty’s record.
