Kenneth Petty was arrested by U.S Marshals earlier this month as he was indicted for failing to register as a sex offender for the state of California. He’s already registered in his hometown of New York. This dates back to 1995 when he was charged with first-degree rape.
Petty is set to head to trial next month on the 28th. Until then though, he’s been ordered to wear an ankle monitor, be under a curfew, and can’t be around any drugs or alcohol. He also submitted a request to a judge asking permission to use the Internet. This is due to the fact that sex offenders aren’t allowed to surf the web.
Petty has now been given the green light for Internet use, according to TMZ. This will be part of the conditions of his pre-trial release. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s able to behave online and not start any beef with anyone like Meek Mill or slide in anyone’s DMs.
