Last week, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was indicted last week after his arrest by U.S Marshals for not registering himself as a sex offender in the state of California. This dates back to an incident in 1995 where he was charged with first-degree rape as he and the girl involved were both underage at the time. He is also a registered sex offender in his home state of New York.

According to The Blast, Petty has finally registered himself as a sex offender in California after getting out of prison in the wake of his initial arrest. Records show that in California’s database, his mugshot was shown. Authorities originally found out about this after a traffic stop in Beverly Hills in November of 2019. At the time, he was arrested and released on $20,000 bond.

Petty was also able to get out of prison on $100,000 bond. Prosecutors recently wanted him on house arrest but wearing an ankle monitor was settled on. Restrictions also include giving him his passport and not being allowed to smoke or drink. He can’t even be anywhere near a dispensary. At the time, he is still facing 10 years in prison despite the recent sex offender charges being dismissed due to him facing similar charges in federal court.

He and Nicki Minaj married each other last summer as they’ve known each other since they were younger while the two lived in New York. Petty has been highly criticized on social media for his criminal background which also includes shooting and killing a man back in 2002.
