Last month, Nicki Minaj ended 2023 strong, by finally releasing her first album since 2018. This was “Pink Friday 2,” which served as the sequel to her 2010 debut studio album. Pink Friday 2 contained 23 songs, and was led by singles such as “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” and “Last Time I Saw You.” Moreover, Nicki also collaborated with Future, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, and more.
As a result, Pink Friday 2 went on to see a number one debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This also marked her third number one album, and her first since 2012.
Meanwhile, Pink Friday 2 has reached another major milestone. It has become the fastest album by a female rapper to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify. This also comes after Nicki put out a “Gag City” deluxe edition for the album, which contained two new songs. Those also had features with Monica, Keyshia Cole, and 50 Cent.
In 2024, Nicki is also set to venture on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The first date of the tour will kick off on March 1, in Oakland. 37 dates will be available in total, as the tour will conclude on June 7, in Berlin, Germany.
