Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” goes platinum
Nicki Minaj has been on fire over the last four months, following the success of the release of her “Pink Friday 2” album. That project was initially released in December, and debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart. It also marked the third number one album of Nicki’s career.
Furthermore, Pink Friday 2 has also just reached another huge milestone. It has just been certified platinum by the RIAA in the US, per Chart Data. This comes as a result of selling over 1 million units.
Pink Friday 2 contained 25 songs in total, including collaborations with Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Future, 50 Cent, Lil Uzi Vert, Keyshia Cole, Monica, and more. It was led by singles such as “Last Time I Saw You,” as well as the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Super Freaky Girl.”
Moreover, Nicki Minaj has also been venturing on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, this spring. This initially kicked off on March 1, in Oakland. The next show will take place on March 29, in Philadelphia. The tour will last until July 14, where it’ll conclude in Líege, Belgium. Monica has also been performing with Nicki, throughout the tour.
