In 2023, they overcame this. As a result, they defeated the Timberwolves, Suns, and Lakers to reach the NBA Finals. When they got there, the defeated the Miami Heat. Tonight, they defeated the Golden State Warriors, due to a Nikola Jokic game-winner.
Nikola Jokic won the MVP award in 2021 and 2022. There was an argument for Jokic to win the award last season, too. However, Jokic had to settle for winning the Finals MVP. In addition, he led the Nuggets to their first title in franchise history. They played incredible throughout the postseason in 2023. This season, the Nuggets have played well. All of this has been overlooked by the Timberwolves’ strong play, led by Anthony Edwards, the Warriors’ struggles, and the Clippers’ moves.
Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets were on the verge of a blowout, tonight. The Warriors have played inconsistently, all season long. Everyone in the NBA has noticed Stephen Curry playing his best basketball, but getting no help. Tonight, it worked for most of the game. But, Jokic and Jamal Murray went to work, when Golden State went up 18. At the end of the game, it was tied, and Jokic threw up a long three-pointer to win the game.
