Next month will make it a year since hip-hop lost Nipsey Hussle as he was shot and killed in his hometown of Los Angeles in front of his The Marathon Clothing store. This was carried out by his accused killer, Eric Holder. He has since been in prison but no trial date has been set. This is going to change now though as it looks like it will finally arrive in April.

According to the NY Daily News, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert Perry said he hopes to get the two-week trial completed by April 14. He even brought up the idea of starting at the end of March.

“Mr. Holder, as you know, this is an important case and a serious case. These cases take time to get ready for trial. You have the right to a speedy trial,” Perry said. “Are you OK that we continue this case, and you come back on March 18 and we do our best to start your trial within 30 days. Are you OK with that?”

Holder simply replied “Yeah” in court and remained silent through the rest of the process. The alleged killer was seen in a yellow jail uniform and waist shackle. Hopefully, Nipsey ends up getting the justice that he deserves this spring.
