Two months after Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in front of his The Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles, crips in the city filed paperwork in an attempt to get the “The Marathon Continues” trademark. Since then, it’s been a legal battle between them and Hussle’s estate.

According to TMZ, Hussle’s estate and the crips have now reached a settlement on the trademark with Crips LLC. This was confirmed by Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom. The L.A County Court also said received this notice.

This was a lengthy battle as Hussle’s estate sued the Crips in October over the trademark. The estate also had evidence that they had already used the TMC trademark on various things.

Details of the settlement are also being ironed out but those will be submitted soon. TMZ also reported that Hussle’s estate wanted monetary damages and a judgement which would’ve had the Crips getting rid of any merchandise with TMC trademarks on it.
