Normani speaks on new role in the horror film Freaky Tales [VIDEO]

Normani makes acting debut in film Freaky Tales
Another pop songstress is making her transition onto the big screen in a new horror film. Normani makes her acting debut in the new horror flick Freaky Tales. The film which is directed by Captain Marvel’s Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, has a star studded cast featuring Normani, Jay Ellis (Insecure), Pedro Pascal (Last of Us) and the late Angus Cloud (Euphoria). In a new interview with Vulture, Normani along with the cast speaks on the making and inspiration for the film.
Normani continues to prove she is more than just a pop artist. Since going solo in 2018 from the platinum selling girl group Fifth Harmony, her influence in music has grown. After the success of her debut single “Love Lies” featuring Khalid, she collaborated with Calvin Harris on a two-track EP. After making guest features on singles with 6LACK and Sam Smith, her 2021 release “Wild Side” with Cardi B topped the charts. Normani has also collaborated with Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion.
The film Freaky Tales is apart of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is already receiving positive reviews. During the interview with Vulture, Normani elaborated on rapping throughout the film. Although fans are anxious for new music, they can enjoy hearing an 80’s inspired sound from Normani soon.
