North Carolina Woman Pulls Out Gun In A High School Gym After Fight Breaks Out During Dance Competition

A North Carolina woman was arrested for brandishing a hang gun during a fight that broke out at a dance competition.
Police were called to Huguenot High School on Saturday March 23rd when they got dispatch calls for a person with a weapon. 36 year old Falan Brown pulled out a gun when a fight broke out following a dance competition at the high school. Apparently several family members were upset that their team did not place or win anything.
Gene Lepley of the Richmond Police said officers were called to the school at about 6:30 pm.
“When they arrived they encountered a fight occurring among members of a dance competition that had taken place,” Lepley said. “Officers were able to end the disturbance and arrest an adult female seen brandishing a handgun.”
Brown was arrested and charged with simple assault, brandishing a firearm, carrying a firearm on school grounds. As a pre-caution, police did a search on the school campus and found no additional weapons.
