October London pays tribute to Marvin Gaye in new video 

There’s no greater sign of respect and admiration, than paying homage to one of your biggest inspirations. Rising r&b artist October London does just that with his latest release. In 2023 his debut album The Rebirth of Marvin, was an incredible dedication to one of music’s biggest legends. Now, October continues to pay tribute to Marvin Gaye in his new video for the single “Mulholland Drive”.

Reintroducing the classic soul sound, October London is changing the feel of new age r&b. Since meeting Snoop Dogg and signing to Death Row Records, October continues to gain a dedicated fanbase. His debut 2016 EP Color Blind = Love, was met with positive reviews. 2023 proved to be his biggest year in music so far, following his debut album release and his single “Eternity” being featured in The Color Purple remake. A leading single from the album “Back To Your Place”, topped the Adult R&B Songs Billboard charts. He also performed at the 2023 Soul Train Awards, where he was nominated for Best R&B Soul Male Artist.

This video is special for multiple reasons, but the intro is what stands out. October choose to share an honest opinion he received in regards to his tribute to Marvin Gaye. Despite some initial negative responses, October’s tribute is beautiful and almost identical to the legend himself. October is expected to take his album on tour this year.
