Off-White x Nike Blazer Low Sneakers’ December 7 Release Date Postponed, After Death of Virgil Abloh
Four days ago, the music and fashion industry, lost an icon, in Virgil Abloh. The fashion designer passed away, after battling a rare form of cancer. Abloh was going through this quietly, since being diagnosed, back in 2019.
Virgil’s final Louis Vuitton fashion show took place, on Tuesday, in Miami. Guests included Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and the event also saw stars such as Quavo, Kid Cudi, and Offset, walk in the show. Abloh served as the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, since 2018.
Abloh’s Off-White x Nike Low collaboration sneaker was also supposed to be released, on December 7. According to TMZ though, this date will be postponed, due to Abloh’s passing. Instead, it will see a release, sometime in 2022.
Previously release sneakers by Abloh have also been in high demand, since his death, per TMZ. 40 pairs of the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” Nike sneakers have reportedly been sold, on SockX, in the range of $6,565-$10,500.
