Ultimately, Birdman and Slim always get what they want. Back in the early 1990s, the brothers established Cash Money Records. Before the tenth anniversary, the label had a distribution deal with Universal Records. Most would have stopped there, but Birdman and Slim visioned much more for their company.
Cash Money Records went through a rough patch, losing Juvenile, B.G., and Turk from their roster. However, Lil Wayne ended up becoming one of the biggest rappers in the game. Lil Wayne would later launch Young Money and Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga are now all big names in the game.
Birdman also added DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group, including Ace Hood, to the overall roster. Bow Wow, Jae Millz, Mystikal, and Busta Rhymes are among the other veteran artists on the label. At each event, Cash Money Records throws parties, as they were in Los Angeles for the Grammys and New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
Famed videographer, Derick G captured the footage and he released it this week.
