The past few years have been filled with ups and downs and confusing stories about the release of Lil’ Boosie from prison. Back in the 2006-2008 period, Lil’ Boosie made himself the biggest rapper on the streets. When his career should have soared, it halted due to mounting charges against him.
Both drug and murder charges led to Lil’ Boosie being behind bars for five calendar years. In 2012, it looked like Lil’ Boosie would be free at last when he beat the murder charges. But, he was immediately imprisoned for the additional drug charges, which his legal team were fighting.
This year, 2014, was to be the year Lil’ Boosie was released from prison, but a false start hindered him. When he was announced to be released, Lil’ Boosie faced a setback and remained in prison. But, there are no more false starts, according to the news reports and people on Twitter, who say Lil’ Boosie is free, will speak on Monday, and will be present for SXSW 2014.
