Offset continues to be one of the biggest artists in the industry, and is also making impacts in local communities in his home town of Atlanta. As a result, he was honored on February 23, by the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus.

Offset received an award in Atlanta, due to his contributions to the music industry and in communities. He was also given a video tribute at the event, which displayed heartfelt moments with Migos, his wife Cardi B, his own solo music success, and more.

Therefore, many of Offset’s philanthropic work was also highlighted, in particular. These included his works with the American Cancer Society through the Ann Cephus foundation, his donation to The Ellen Degeneres Fund, as well as his annual “Toys for Nawf” holiday gift back.

“Thank you to God & Thank you to my family and fans,” said Offset at the ceremony. “I’m honored to stand here before this prestigious group of people to accept honor. Thank you to the entire GLBC for celebrating my contribution to the music industry. Music is a universal language; for me, it’s a way to express myself, take care of my family, and share experiences in our communities. Growing up on the Northside, it’s vital for me to be a voice for the youth and use my platform for self-expression. I will continue to use my music and voice to advocate for causes I’m passionate about. In addition, I will continue to create programs like “Toys For The Nawf” to give back to my community. Thank you again, GLBC.”
