Offset pays tribute to Michael Jackson on Set It Off Tour

Concert season is in full effect with multiple celebrities hitting the stage across the nation. One artist who is already making noise for his tour is Offset. The former Migos member released his sophomore album Set It Off, last October creating anticipation for a possible tour. Now, after officially releasing show dates his Set It Off tour began in Philadelphia at The Filmore this past weekend. Kicking off the show wearing a Michael Jackson inspired outfit with matching gloves, fan’s couldn’t help but notice the tribute.

Offset continues to thrive as a solo rap artist. Adding to his Billboard streak, Set It Off debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200. His 2019 album Father of 4, also debuted in the top 5 during its initial release. Further adding to the buzz around the project, Offset’s promotional campaign involved him paying tribute to his greatest idol Michael Jackson. Months leading up to the release, he began wearing star studded jackets and gloves, making it clear where is inspiration came from. In the video for his single “FAN”, Offset re-tells the legendary “Thriller” story in his own modern way.

Nonetheless, Offset’s dedication to providing a great experience isn’t going unnoticed by fans or the world. During his first show, he also wore penny loafer shoes as he performed a special routine. Offset’s tour is expected to run until the end of April.
