Earlier this week, Gucci Mane made a comment about “running” the whole East Atlanta Zone 6. The past fifteen years of hip hop have been built on people claiming to be the leader of an area. In many ways, T.I. made this popular, calling himself “king of the South.”
Since then, many rappers have crowned themselves on various regions. One thing can be said, East Atlanta rappers were not as prominent as they are now, at one point. The first East Atlanta rapper to emerge was Gucci Mane.
However, his comments about “running” East Atlanta, Zone 6, rubbed some the wrong way. Young Nudy was quick to respond, basically saying that Gucci Mane doesn’t run that. Conversations escalated and then OJ Da Juiceman jumped in and he essentially threatened Nudy’s life, with his Instagram post.
