Clearly, Omarion is not the star he was a few years ago. Seven years ago, Omarion proved he could hold his own as a solo artist, releasing his debut album. Proving he was not a one hit wonder, Omarion returned a year later with his second album. After taking time off, recording a collaborative album with Bow Wow, Omarion resurfaced with Young Money.
Young Money went on a signing frenzy, adding Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and Omarion. With Young Money on a signing frenzy, Cash Money Records also was. Outside of Lil Wayne’s imprint, the label also added Bow Wow. Once Bow Wow announced his new affiliation, Omarion announced he was leaving the label, signing with Timbaland and then going solo.
Omarion recently resurfaced again with Rick Ross. For over a year, Rick Ross has been adding many talented artists to his label. During the Maybach Music press conference, Rick Ross revealed the latest addition to MMG, Omarion. Maybach O has been making his rounds, recently sitting down with Karen Civil in Los Angeles, speaking on his new label.
