“One in a Million” Album To Be First Project by Aaliyah, Released on Streaming Outlets, Starting On August 20

Aaliyah is regarded by many as one of the greatest R&B artists of all-time. On August 25, 2001, she tragically lost her life, in a plane crash, shortly after taking off from a plane in the Bahamas. At the time, Aaliyah shot the music video for her “Rock The Boat” single.

For years now, fans have been wanting Aaliyah’s discography to be on streaming outlets. Now, that is happening, after her uncle, reached a deal with EMPIRE to make this happen. This is all while Aaliyah’s estate isn’t very thrilled about this, after releasing a long statement about the releases.

The first album to be available on streaming outlets will be “One in a Million.” This project will be available on August 20. One in a Million is Aaliyah’s second studio album, which was released back on August 27, 1996. It debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart, and is 2x platinum in the US.

In addition to One in a Million, more albums will be released this fall as well. These include “Romeo Must Die” on September 3, “Aaliyah” on September 10, “I Care 4 U” on October 8, and “Ultimate Aaliyah” on October 8.
