According to TMZ, model 34-year-old Christina Ashten Gourkani recently passed away, as a result of a botched surgery. On Instagram, she went by Ashten G, and amassed over 600,000 followers on Instagram. It’s rumored that she underwent plastic surgery, but her family has yet to confirm that truly being the cause of death.
Gourkani’s family revealed that a friend of hers called them, and revealed this shocking news. She’s said to have initially suffered cardiac arrest, and this situation is now being investigated as a “potential homicide” that occurred due to a “medical procedure that took a turn for the worse.” Therefore, they also took to GoFundMe, in order to raise $40,000 to cover costs of Gourkani’s funeral expenses.
