The past few years have brought about returns of many legendary hip hop artists to the game. Some have been flattering, while others have left a little bit to be desired from the veterans. However, others feel as if they have not been away from the game for long due to their frequent appearances, such as Onyx.

Fredro Starr has kept himself relevant through his viral videos released over the past three years. His solo career has also kept him busy, which was also the case for the other members, Sticky Fingaz and Sonsee. Onyx, as a collective, last released an album in 2002 with BacDaFucUp Part II.

Returning after a twelve-year hiatus, Onyx is delivering #WakeDaFucUp, a trilogy, of sorts, to the BacDaFucUp series. Late last night, Fredro Starr released the new album cover to his Instagram profile. Currently, no release date for the album is set, but it is to be released later this year, or before the year ends.
