Orlando Brown loses movie role after domestic violence arrest
On Thursday, “That’s So Raven” star Orlando Brown ran into even more legal issues. This time, it was regarding an arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence. This was in the own of Lima, Ohio, as he was staying with a man named Matthew Sanders.
The two had been close, but Brown allegedly threatened Sanders with a knife and hammer. At the time, Brown had been homeless and living in Sanders’ home. Sanders says the actor had been acting “crazy” by accusing him of raping Brown’s wife. Sanders initially told police that he and Brown were Brothers.
However, it turns out that Sanders had initially been planning to put Brown in one of his movies, prior to the incident. According to TMZ, Sanders is directing and producing a movie titled “Up The Score.” Sanders believes that Brown is still a talented actor, and wanted him to be part of that project.
Preproduction of Up The Score had been in place since November, and that was also when Brown moved into Sanders’ home. He’s disappointed that this incident occurred, and believes that Brown is really struggling with mental illness.
Up The Score is about a military man that meets someone online, and eventually leaves his family for that person. It turns out that that person is different from who they claimed to be, though. As of now, Brown will no longer be part of this movie, and is not living at Sanders’ home anymore. Sanders wants Brown to seek mental help, and that’ll be the only way he considers casting him back. However, filming begins in January, so time is extremely limited.
