Outkast will reunite in Los Angeles at Coachella 2014

Throughout their career, Outkast has dared to be different and this is what made them so popular. In recent years, however, the duo has been nonexistent and Big Boi has done more work as a solo artist. Andre 3000 made a series of guest appearances in 2011, doing tracks with Beyonce and Young Jeezy, among others.

Last year, Andre 3000 voiced frustration with Big Boi because he was doing his own remixes of songs he was already on. The situation was causing confusion for Outkast fans, as it looked like they were back together. Contract stipulations stopped Outkast from working together.

According to Big Boi’s wife, Outkast reunited via text messaging, but there have been rumors of a musical reunion. This was confirmed last night when it was revealed they are reuniting at Coachella 2014. Their reunion will kick off a tour that the duo will headline next year.
