Seeing Wale transform from being a backpack-type rapper into one of hip hop’s biggest mainstream stars has been amazing. Still possessing the lyrical abilities that made him famous, Wale is a ladies man. Despite being a ladies man, Wale still keeps it very street and he linked up with street rappers.

On the Maybach Music roster, Wale keeps in tune with the streets through Meek Mill and Fat Trel, whom he signed to the label. Leading the label in the mainstream, however, Wale is always working on new music. Recently, Wale hit the studio with one of New York’s biggest street rappers.

Currently, Troy Ave is considered New York’s hottest street rapper. Modeling himself after 50 Cent, Troy Ave is co-signed by the original G-Unit and hinted to be joining Maybach Music. At the very least, Troy Ave is joining Maybach Music for a track, as Wale is featuring him.
