Back in the day, Papoose and DJ Kay Slay flooded the streets with new mixtapes all the time. Coming up in that era, almost everybody up North was a fan of Papoose and his movement. Over the years, Papoose has remained a strong underground fixture in the game and he had a great year in 2013.
It started with Papoose finally releasing The Nacirema Dream and the “Get At Me” single with Ron Browz doing well. Later, Papoose invaded Hot 97’s Summer Jam and then he stepped up for New York against Kendrick Lamar. Papoose made sure he was in the discussion every month last year and he is making sure this year, too.
Papoose made an announcement on Instagram, after appearing on the new Fabolous and Jadakiss track, “Hope.” After doing “Hope,” Papoose revealed he had a way to be the focal point of everything for the rest of the year. Each month for the year of 2014, Papoose plans to drop a new mixtape, starting with January and then February, he suggested the fans figure the rest of it out.
