Pastor accused of giving woman STD and ordered to pay $2 million
In the city of Houston, there is a pastor facing much scrutiny. Not only is the pastor being accused of abusing his power, but also, he’s accused of spreading herpes. Also, this pastor has had his day in court, and the judge agrees with the accusations. As a result, the pastor now has to pay $2.45 million to a woman, who says he gave her herpes.
Despite being a man of the cloth, this man met a woman on Facebook, and began dating her. While he is a pastor, clearly the man has not been practicing what he preaches. After all, without being married to this woman, there is the belief that he gave her herpes. There’s only one way to give another person an STD, and that way goes against religious practices.
In Houston, Ralph West III is the Eldridge Campus Minister for Church Without Walls. On Facebook, the pastor, Pastor West, met a woman and apparently began dating her. Somewhere during this span of time, the relationship turned physical. After that, the woman accused the pastor of giving her herpes. In three days in court, the judge agreed with her accusations. As a result, West has been ordered to give the woman $2.45 million. The woman’s lawyer said this is now something the woman has to live with for life.
