Patrick Mahomes speaks on Kansas City shooting during parade
Patrick Mahomes is currently the most popular man in the world. He just led the Kansas City Chiefs to their second straight Super Bowl championships. The city of Kansas City has something special to celebrate. However, during this celebration, gunshots rang out. This led to people dying and other people sustaining injuries. As a result, Patrick Mahomes has spoken out about the situation.
Patrick Mahomes receives a lot of credit for his efforts as the Chiefs’ leader. As the team’s quarterback, he runs the offense. However, the level that he’s on is leading to comparisons to Tom Brady. There are similarities, too. Like Brady, Mahomes has played in several Super Bowls. Also, like Brady, Mahomes had one championship, before leading his team to two straight titles.
Patrick Mahomes, like the rest of the world, is devastated about what happened. While the championship parade was going on, a shooting broke out in Kansas City. As a result, the attention was diverted from the celebration to the victims. Included in this was the death of a prominent person on the scene in Kansas City. All of this led Mahomes to release a statement, saying the city is in his prayers.
