Tomorrow night, “Star” and “Empire” return for the spring edition of their seasons. By now, FOX viewers know what to expect from Lee Daniels dramas, as they continue to run. Each hiatus brings about the introduction of a new character, usually played by a celebrity.
“Star” will wrap season two, introducing Patti LaBelle and Brandy, who play the mother and sister, respectively, of Queen Latifah’s Carlotta. As the mother and sister arrive, it fuels speculation that Cotton (Amiyah Scott) really did die. The fall season ended with that cliffhanger.
Patti LaBelle recently stopped by Shade 45, talking with Sway, on his show, “Sway In The Morning.” Arriving to discuss “Star,” Patti didn’t give away any spoilers, but she did talk about Queen Latifah. The interview also saw her touch on her past work with Snoop Dogg, Beyonce, and Toni Braxton.
