Paul Pierce reveals he will retire as a member of the Boston Celtics

paulpierce2008vidThroughout most of his career, Paul Pierce played under the shadows of the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and many others. But, somehow, Paul Pierce gave them all a run for their money. He even defeated Kobe on the biggest stage.

Paul Pierce was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1998 and played fifteen seasons for the squad. His loyalty to the Celtics was rewarded, when they supplied him with Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. This resulted in one championship, two 60 win seasons, and two Finals appearances.

However, the Celtics traded Paul Pierce to Brooklyn in 2013 and then signed with Washington in 2015. Last year, Pierce signed with the Clippers, reuniting with Doc Rivers. He revealed this season would be his final one and, once the season ends, Pierce is signing with the Boston Celtics and retiring.
