Paul Pierce stands by having better career than Dwyane Wade

Paul Pierce ended up being one of the NBA’s all-time greats and he had historic rivalries. During his time with the Boston Celtics, Pierce formed rivalries with Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade. It’s important to remember all of this happened after the Celtics formed the “Big 3.” In 2007, Boston traded for Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. This immediately took the Celtics from the NBA’s worst team to the best team. Years later, they became a foil for LeBron’s Miami Heat. As a result, Pierce says he had a better career than Dwyane Wade, which he recently stated again.

Paul Pierce won the NBA Finals MVP award in 2008. This came after the Celtics defeated Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. After that, the Celtics began running into snags in the playoffs. In 2010, the Celtics handily defeated Dwyane Wade’s Miami Heat. Infamously, Wade proclaimed that would be his last time losing in the first round. After that, the Heat re-signed Wade, while also signing LeBron James and Chris Bosh. As a result, the Heat avenged the Celtics in their 2011 and 2012 rematches.

Paul Pierce, a few years ago, said on ESPN that he had a better career than Dwyane Wade. Jalen Rose ran down all of the reasons why that wasn’t true. As a result, the video has lived on as a visual meme. None of this has stopped Pierce from speaking his mind. Recently, he sat down with Cam’ron and Mase on “It Is What It Is.” There, he again said his career was better than Dwyane Wade. He pointed out how Wade won his rings with Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.
