Paul Pierce takes shots at Kevin Durant, as OKC #Thunder fans begin burning his jersey [VIDEO]

The precedent of popular players leaving their longtime NBA franchises is LeBron James. Before him, the Cleveland Cavaliers were consistently one of the worst teams in the league. When LeBron came to the Cavs, they soon became a championship contender, but always fell short.

In the case of Kevin Durant, he is Oklahoma City NBA basketball. Since 2005, Oklahoma City had the NBA, starting with the Hornets (Pelicans) who relocated from New Orleans, following Katrina. Then, the Sonics relocated in 2008 and became the Thunder.

Kevin Durant was originally a part of the Seattle SuperSonics, but became the face of OKC, when the team went there. The Thunder have no history prior to 2008, so Durant is all they know and he left. Paul Pierce already threw a shot at him on Twitter and then Thunder fans are on social media, burning his jersey.
