Looking at the history of Shady Records, Paul Rosenberg has an impressive track record. Not only did he help negotiate Eminem’s own partnership with Interscope Records, he was instrumental in the growth of the label. Remember, 50 Cent was also signed to Shady Records.

The label was also home to Obie Trice, D12, and many other popular acts. Since 2009, the label has declined, with Eminem as the label’s only notable act. But, focus has shifted from the label to Shade 45, and other media ventures.

But, Paul Rosenberg is back in the music industry in a major way. A lot of people say Irv Gotti should run Def Jam, but he says he understands why it’s not him. Now, Paul Rosenberg is in, according to a report from earlier this afternoon, as Def Jam is banking on his success with Shady.
