One of the brightest, yet overlooked, stars in the rap game is Paul Wall. Doing his thing on the mixtape scene in Houston for years, Paul Wall rose to the mainstream in 2005. Sending the game into a frenzy with The People’s Champ, Paul Wall has continued going strong in the time since then.
Paul Wall is one of the most-creative figures hip hop has seen. An outside of the box thinker, he has managed to remain successful in a rapidly-changing game. Of course, he is not on the same level of media exposure as he was in 2005-2006, but Paul Wall is still going strong. The same mixtape scene he introduced himself on is the one he has continuously reinvented.
Recently, Paul Wall stopped by Shade 45 to talk with Sway Calloway for “Sway in the Morning.” It was his hometown where the NBA and hip hop partied, but Paul Wall did not talk about that during his interview. Instead, Paul Wall talked about his hustle, his children, his jewelry, and his new mixtape.
