Four years have gone by pretty quickly, Jay-Z released The Blueprint 3 and went into a hiatus that lasted longer than his “retirement.” During this break, Jay-Z recorded a joint album with Kanye West and he reunited with Pharrell. Over the past few years, Pharrell also has been out of the spotlight.
Returning and working alongside a few of the biggest names in the game, Pharrell is now back with one of his favorite collaborators. What is a Jay-Z album without any contribution from Pharrell? Every Jay-Z album in the 2000s has featured some input from Skateboard P.
Magna Carta Holy Grail will be no different, as Pharrell revealed. Pharrell recently attended the screening for Despicable Me 2. Rolling Out caught up with Pharrell at the screening and they spoke with him about the project and he did not give up too much, just calling it “special.”
